Veterans Day

I am so thankful for all the men and women who have served or are serving our country. It takes special people to put the needs of you country before your own. I am sure there are many times they wish they hadn't signed up or that they were in a warm soft bed back home, or feel they have been forgotten. We should always let them know of our appreciation and support! America is great because of our military and we should never forget the sacrifice that has been made!
Thanks to all our military and their families!!!

Off Year Elections

I wonder if the off year elections on the East Coast is any indication of things to come? As with the last presidental election, independants played a huge roll. You know it is real funny how Obama responds to current events when he feels he can't get the glory for the outcome. He campaigned for Creigh Deeds of Virginia, but he lost to the Republican candidate, Bob McDonnell, with a 17 point loss. His campaigning efforts didn't help New Jery candidate Jon Corzine either, and New Jersey is very Democratic. In true Obama style, according to a CNN blog,  Obama will most likely be watching a Bulls game. His senior staffers also decided they wouldn't pay attention either. I think a different story would have been told if Deeds & Corzine would have won, Obama could have then taken some credit. But Obama shouldn't think the American people are so stupid to think he wasn't watching what was going on. He underestimates the American people. There is a lot at stake here. We have seen many times in the past few months that when he wants to down play something, he makes it public that either he thinks the situation isn't important enough for him to pay attention to or that he doesn't know enough to comment. Yet not knowing enough hasn't stopped him at other times. It appears he doesn't have a lot of pull with his voter base. As we saw with the Olympic bid, he didn't have pull with that either.
