Global Warming Thoughts

I have always thought I was a pretty smart cookie. Now the proof is in the pudding or cookie dough! I have never believed in global warming. I always thought it was a bunch of "educated dummies" speaking hogwash. Now I have been proven correct in my thinking! I am sure many of you are with me on this, and have always been, because it isn't rocket science to know the earth goes through cycles of warming and cooling. No "degree" needed to know that!
The global warming talk reached my kids. I have to keep trying to un-teach them about it, or may I say, teach them the truth. Should we be good stewards of this great planet that God gave us to dwell upon? Yes. One of my biggest pet peeves is to see litter! It just makes our surroundings look bad. I don't think companies should be irresponsible and dump waste that pollutes our water systems, lakes and rivers. I am not a tree-hugger, although I don't like all the trees being cut down for no reason, it's just me. I love beautiful fall foliage. On the other hand, I do not think the carbon dioxide, which plants need to survive, and animal flatulence causes holes in the ozone or warms the earth's temperature! I know that part of the reason for forest fires growing so fast, is because man isnt' allowed to cut down trees to help thin down the forest so there is less fuel for the fires. While re-cycling isn't a bad thing, another man's trash is another man's treasure, I just don't think you should be made to feel bad because you choose not to. I would rather re-cycle so that there would be less to put in landfills because seeing nature over landfills is always more desireable. But if they want you to recycle and then buy products that contain recycled materials, why do those product cost so much more? The higher cost makes me NOT choose them.
I always thought scientists were smart people, but with the global warming banter, I really began to question their intelligence. Then Al Gore got on the band wagon, well say no more. After all he thinks he invented the internet! There is always someone to support both sides of the issue, no matter what it is, global warming or not. But common sense tells most people that animal gas will not raise the earth's temperature! Has anyone ever checked the temperature of animal farts anyway????
Now there is evidence that scientists knew better all along, but tried to hide the fact that there is no such thing as global warming! So they weren't dumb after all, they just thought us regular Joe's were! Professor Mann, at Pennsylvania State University who is an important climate debate scientist, wrote an email that talked about the trick used to hide an actual decline in temperatures!!! What does that say about our educators?
So all you average Joe's out there, don't doubt your intellegence, doubt the intellegence of those who are supposed to be the experts!!

Veterans Day

I am so thankful for all the men and women who have served or are serving our country. It takes special people to put the needs of you country before your own. I am sure there are many times they wish they hadn't signed up or that they were in a warm soft bed back home, or feel they have been forgotten. We should always let them know of our appreciation and support! America is great because of our military and we should never forget the sacrifice that has been made!
Thanks to all our military and their families!!!

Off Year Elections

I wonder if the off year elections on the East Coast is any indication of things to come? As with the last presidental election, independants played a huge roll. You know it is real funny how Obama responds to current events when he feels he can't get the glory for the outcome. He campaigned for Creigh Deeds of Virginia, but he lost to the Republican candidate, Bob McDonnell, with a 17 point loss. His campaigning efforts didn't help New Jery candidate Jon Corzine either, and New Jersey is very Democratic. In true Obama style, according to a CNN blog,  Obama will most likely be watching a Bulls game. His senior staffers also decided they wouldn't pay attention either. I think a different story would have been told if Deeds & Corzine would have won, Obama could have then taken some credit. But Obama shouldn't think the American people are so stupid to think he wasn't watching what was going on. He underestimates the American people. There is a lot at stake here. We have seen many times in the past few months that when he wants to down play something, he makes it public that either he thinks the situation isn't important enough for him to pay attention to or that he doesn't know enough to comment. Yet not knowing enough hasn't stopped him at other times. It appears he doesn't have a lot of pull with his voter base. As we saw with the Olympic bid, he didn't have pull with that either.

A change in insurance

Here is an email I recieved today from a family member:

Hey, I like your blog and comments. I tried to send you a comment on your blog but for somre reason it will not go through. My comment is this: Gary received his paperwork describing what changes will take place with his insurance plan beginning January 2010. (This is thru Lowes). We will no longer be able to choose a pharmacy for filling our prescriptions, we will have to use the order by mail pharmacy through the insurance plan. If we try to buy through a pharmacy then we will be charged double as a penalty and can only be allowed to do this twice before March. After that no choice. They are raising rates almost $150 a month. However, if we decide to drop it, we will be penalized if we try to go to the doctor or hospital. Furthermore, get this, now the IRS has to approve all medications and whether it can be covered by our health plan. Tell me Obama isn't getting his way by taking away our freedoms. We are irritated to no end. I wish we could remove him from office immediately!! Hope you can post this somehow and see if others are going through this also. Lowes employees are making a fuss here in Sikeston. Don't know how far it will go but I hope they cna get some good accomplished. Keep up the good work.

Love,

Linda

Not a Supporter

I have never been an Obama supporter.I have more reason than ever not to support him. Have you looked at the czars he is appointing? Used to, presidents chose cabinet members, they were vetted and voted on. Although a few czars have been voted on, it seems no one care what these people believe in.  The czars have Socialist, Marxist, and Communist views. They see leaders like Stalin, Mao Tse-Tung, and Chevez as their heros. NONE of them speak of our founding fathers! This is a shame, and causes me great concern as it should you! These are people that Obama is giving power to, not to us " we the people."
Many of those making our policies are those associated with very progressive and socialistic views. This is not acceptable to me, we need to stand up for our freedoms.
Carol Browner, the energy/climate czar, has been a member of Socialist International and believes that developed countries should shrink their economies in order to reduce global warming. That isn't supporting American jobs and workers.
John Holdren, science czar, co-authored Ecoscience: Population, Resources and Environment, and in it he suggested population control could be sustained under the Constitution.
Nancy-Ann De Parle, health czar, was the director of a company where she made millions. While she was the director it was investegated and fined for illegal kickbacks and illegal billing schemes, and violations of federal quality standards.

Even though Van Jones resigned, don't think he is not still around. His Apollo Alliance is involved in making policies. He still has a voice. Van Jones is a radical and avowed communist and hasn't tried to hide the fact.

About the Apollo Alliance http://hanbros.wordpress.com/2009/08/26/who-is-apollo-aliance/
What about Cass Sustein the Regulatory czar? He thinks animals have the same rights as humans! I know it sounds stupid to think your dog could sue you, but what does he mean by animals having the same rights as us? http://www.examiner.com/x-2320-Baltimore-Hunting-and-Fishing-Examiner~y2009m9d9-Cass-Sunstein-animal-rights-animal-welfare-and--President-Obama
He also believes that the president should interpret the law, not the judges .http://www.wnd.com/index.php?pageId=110103.
We can't forget the Freedom of Speech czar, Mark Lloyd. He is for free speach if it comes from the progressives. He believes they should  take radio stations from conservative whites and give them to the progressive minority.  http://www.wnd.com/index.php?pageId=110103 That is not diversity! We can't help it that Americans prefer conservative stations over liberal ones. Look at the rating of MSNBC and Fox. http://www.rightpundits.com/?p=4608
The last czar I want to mention is the manufacturing czar, Ron Bloom. He is a MaoTse -Tung supporter and feels that free martket is nonsense. http://www.freedomslighthouse.com/2009/10/obama-manufacturing-czar-says-free.htmlWhat is Obama thinking? We don't need someone in charge of manufacturing if he doesn't believe in our free market system!
I know there is a lot of links in this blog, but look at them. There is a lot of good information in them. Make sure to let me know what is on our mind. I would love to hear your comment and thoughts!

Welcome

Welcome to my blog!! I hope this will be as fun, exciting, and informative for you as it will be for me! My blog will deal mainly with current events. Our world is quickly changing before our eyes, and the changes are not all good! Most of them aren't!

We need to be united now more than ever. Washington acts like they are not listening, but I can promise you, they are. The next elections is a chance for Americans to show Washington we mean business and we will not have our freedoms stripped from us. Too much precious blood has been shed for our freedoms and for those abroad.
